Extension to Ancient Greece & Santorini

Time for some Greek island hopping as we check out the hotel in Santorini, board our ferry and head to the island of Mykonos.

On arrival in Mykonons, an orientation tour on the way to our hotel on arrival will give you a brief outline of the island.

After check-in, the rest of the day is at leisure to relax and enjoy the hotel's facilities. 

Enjoy the world of the Greek kitchen in this special cooking lesson on Mykonos.

You start with a visit to the local market at the harbor-front where we meet the island's farmers offering their sun ripped vegetables, full of flavor.

After purchasing our vegetables, we make our way to a local restaurant where the cooking lesson starts, preparing the food under the guidance of an experienced cook, actively involved in preparing your Greek meal with dishes such as Tzatziki, eggplant salad, Greek salad, saganaki cheese, and Moussaka.

Once the meal is ready, sit down and enjoy the food accompanied by local wines whilst learning about the culture of the Greek kitchen and the wines before desert and a Greek coffee.

You return to the hotel where the rest of the day is at leisure.

This morning, we head off to Mykonos town for a walking tour though its streets and alleys. You will see all the famous highlights and at the same time get close to the history and culture of this exceptional place and people.

Starting at the top, Panorama Point, gives us a great view over the town, the sea and the port and is a great photo point!

We then proceed to the Boni windmill, which is part of the agricultural museum. Here we enjoy great views as well as the roots of the rural lives of the local people. Our walk continues through picturesque typical neighborhood streets as well as the famous spots like the windmill area, Little Venice, the Paraportiani church with its outstanding architecture, the pirate alleys and the folklore museum.

After this unforgettable walk we stop at a local taverna where we have our wine tasting. We get a taste of the national drink of Greece, the Ouzo, and afterwards 3 different wines, together with a nice mezé plate and bread. Together with the wine tasting you learn about the traditions of the Greek wines whose roots go back as far as the antique times.

Return to the hotel for an evening at leisure..

Today, enjoy a final free morning relaxing at your hotel or private sightseeing beforein the evening heading out to enjoy a sunset cruise excursion.

Enjoy an off-the-beaten track experience sailing along the coast of Mykonos on an adults only cruise.

Take your aperitivo on board with drinks of your choice and local Greek snacks whilst enjoying the natural beauty of the island whilst the sun sets over the Aegean sea. A perfect way to round off your Greek experience

This morning, it is time to bid farewell to Greece.
